About Us

Hello! I’m Janelle, the sole behind this venture. I began my soaping journey in early 2018 and currently reside in Irwin, PA, with my little family. When I'm not busy crafting soaps, you can find immersed in a good book or exploring new places with my family. Meeting new people makes me a bit awkward, so if we cross paths at a market or while you’re picking up an order, I in advance any rambling! Many ask what inspired me to start a soap business, and honestly, I'm not quite sure. It seemed like a challenge, and my husband encouraged me to jump in rather than just trying to make a single loaf. Thankfully, I find joy in it and continue to enjoy it every day. As a kid I dreamt of becoming a pastry chef, and I didn’t realize how similar soaping would be to baking until I started borrowing kitchen tools for my soap creations. (Yes, I may have "borrowed" a spatula or two—sorry, it’s not for food anymore!) In addition to soap bars, I love creating whipped soap and, surprisingly, bath bombs, despite a rocky start with them. I truly love what do, and I owe it all to your support!

 

About our business name: I named this venture after my grandma, Betty Jane. Although she didn’t make soap, she was known for her homemade creations. When I decided to honor her in my business name, my mom found her signature in her Bible to use as my logo. I wish she could see everything; I know she’d be proud and a bit giddy to see her signature on all my products!
